Crazy Strength was founded in 2015 by Craig Spicer — a strength coach with over 25 years of experience who has dedicated his career to building strength sport in the UK from the ground up.
After competing nationally and internationally in drug-free powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting at Masters level, Craig joined the British Army where he spent 17 years — most notably creating and leading Army Weightlifting from scratch and serving as Head Coach for both Army Powerlifting and Army Weightlifting from 2016 onwards. His work was credited with transforming armed forces weightlifting in the UK, earning Army Weightlifting full Army Sports status.
Craig has coached athletes to World titles and records, delivered coaching courses and education across the UK, and now serves as Coaching Lead for British Powerlifting — shaping the future of the sport at a national level while running Crazy Strength here in Amesbury.
