Our Story

Built From The Barbell Up

Crazy Strength was founded in 2015 by Craig Spicer — a strength coach with a background in the British Army, BDFPA powerlifting and a long association with world-leading barbell brand Eleiko.

What started as a passion for getting people genuinely strong has grown into Amesbury’s most complete strength training facility — hosting national competitions, nurturing junior athletes from age 6, and welcoming everyone from first-timers to seasoned competitors through the door.

We believe strength training is for everyone. Whether you’re 6 or 80+, a competitive athlete or someone who just wants to feel better — we have the coach, the community and the facility to make it happen.

Craig Spicer — Head Coach & Founder

“I’ve spent my career in strength sport — from the Army to national competitions to coaching hundreds of athletes of all ages and abilities. The one thing I’ve learned is that everyone has more in them than they think. My job is to create the environment that lets people prove that to themselves.”
