You do not need to be strong or experienced before you arrive. We will teach you properly from your first session.

New to strength training?

You do not need previous gym or lifting experience to start at Crazy Strength. Most of our members began as complete beginners.

Every coached session gives you proper instruction, a structured programme and help with the movements. You will not be left to work everything out on your own.

You can book a free taster session, meet the coaches and see whether the programme feels right before joining. We are based in Amesbury and serve people from Salisbury and across Wiltshire.

Built From The Barbell Up

Crazy Strength was established by Craig Spicer 25+ years in strength sport, 17 years as a civilian PTI with the British Army, creator of Army Weightlifting, Coaching Lead for British Powerlifting, cancer survivor, and the person who built this place on one conviction: everyone has more in them than they think.

That’s what #BeAGoodHuman means here. It’s not a tagline it’s how we coach.

Do I need experience to join?
Not at all. Most members started as complete beginners. Every coached session has qualified coaching from day one.
Can I book a free taster session?
Yes free tasters are available for Powerlifting, Weightlifting, Ladies That Lift, Legends That Lift and CUBS (Stage 1). Book via the links on each service card above, or get in touch and we’ll sort it.
What age can my child start?
From age 6+ through our CUBS Programme. Stage 1 focuses on movement patterns in fun 30-min sessions, progressing through Stage 2 and 3 as they develop.
Is there parking?
Yes. Four dedicated spaces outside Unit 13, plus Beacon Centre overflow. Street parking on Solar Way is a short walk. After 17:00 weekdays and all weekend, you can also use the spaces at Units 9, 10 and 12 (Gavin Jones). Full parking details →
What’s in The Recovery Hub and The Den?
