Craig Spicer — Founder, Crazy Strength
Head Coach & Founder
Craig Spicer

Founder of Crazy Strength, Craig Spicer has spent more than 25 years developing people through strength sport, coaching and performance.

Beginning his career in the British Army as a civilian Physical Training Instructor, Craig went on to found Army Weightlifting and played a key role in the running and development of Army Powerlifting for over a decade. He has since coached everyone from complete beginners to British, European and World-level athletes, and now serves as Coaching Lead for British Powerlifting.

A cancer survivor, public speaker and lifelong coach, Craig built Crazy Strength on a simple belief: strength training should build more than performance alone — it should build confidence, resilience and community.

Alongside leading Crazy Strength, Craig provides bespoke coaching, semi-remote athlete development, one-to-one coaching and mentorship for lifters, coaches and individuals looking to improve both inside and outside the gym.

Everything at Crazy Strength is built around one principle: #BeAGoodHuman

Business Manager
Rae Stanley

Rae brings order to the chaos that comes with running a serious gym. As Business Manager at Crazy Strength, she works behind the scenes to make sure the operations, the admin, and the bigger picture are all taken care of so the coaches can coach, and the members can just get on with lifting.

With a background in strategic management and a sharp eye for how organisations actually work, Rae is the reason things run as smoothly as they do. She’s also leading the development of the Crazy Strength Community Interest Company, working to open up strength sport to more people across the community. Quietly essential.
