Coached strength training for athletes aged 50+ and those with special population needs. Age is not a barrier. Neither is your history.
Book a Free Taster →Legends That Lift exists because strength training is one of the most powerful things a person over 50 can do for their long-term health — and most gyms don’t coach it properly for this age group.
We also welcome special populations — anyone with health conditions, movement restrictions, post-surgical recovery needs, or requirements that don’t fit a standard gym class. Our coaches have specialist qualifications and experience to work with you safely and effectively.
Whether you’re managing arthritis, recovering from a procedure, dealing with lower bone density or simply haven’t trained in years — this programme is designed for exactly where you are right now.

Legends That Lift covers strength training for people over 50, over 60, and well beyond — including people returning after years away from exercise, those with arthritis or movement restrictions, and anyone who wants to maintain their independence, strength and mobility as they get older. There is no upper age limit.
No. There is no upper age limit on Legends That Lift. We have members who started well into their 70s and 80s. Starting later is not a barrier — it changes the approach, not the welcome.
No. The programme is designed for people who may have little or no recent training background. You will be shown what to do, how to do it safely and how to build from there.
Tell us before your first session. We adapt exercises and loading around individual restrictions. You will not be asked to perform movements that cause pain or that are outside your current range.
Not automatically. If you have a recent diagnosis, uncontrolled health condition or specific concern, we may ask you to get clearance from your GP before starting. We will discuss this honestly at your first session.
Yes, always. The coach will ask about your history, assess your movement and adapt the exercises, weights and range of motion to suit you individually. Nobody is expected to keep up with anyone else.
The coach will welcome you, take a brief background on your health and training history, and assess how you move. The session will be adapted to what you can do comfortably. There is no pressure and no comparison with others.
